The Woodlands Junior High Lacrosse 2008 City Champions

The boys WJHLacrosse won its 4th straight Houston Middle School Lacrosse League "City Champions" Saturday, April 26th. The championship game was played at The Woodlands HS versus the Katy Cavaliers. WJHLacrosse defeated Katy 14-4, Completing an undefeated season with a record of 21-0. Under the leadership of Keith Tintle and AL Christopher the WJHLacrosse program made it a "4-PEAT".

“The 8th grade team captured their most exciting victory of the season under the lights, Friday, February 29th against Strake Jesuit’s Junior Varsity (2) team which was a combination of freshmen and sophomore students. Though this was a non-conference exhibition game it was an impressive victory over an older opponent. The Woodlands 8th grader team jumped out to an early lead in the first period 2-1. Both teams traded goals a few times, but The Woodlands Junior High team pulled away and captured an 8-3 victory over Strake Jesuit. We wish The Woodlands Junior High program, Coach Keith Tintle and Coach Al Christopher much success as they continue their quest to “FOUR-PEAT” the Houston City Championship”.

HAKLAX Fall Tournament

Jr High "Fall " program won the HAKLAX Reindeer Games Tournament in early December 2007 with a 5-0 record. The Woodlands claimed a victory over Clear Lake in a hard fought tournament championship game 8-3. Congradulations to HAXLAX for a well organized and successful tournament.

3-Peat City Champions (5/7/07)

The Woodlands Jr High 8th grade team completed an undefeated season (21-0) with a victory over St. Francis Episcapol School to be crowned City Champions for a 3rd concecitive season. This particular class had a three year run of 66 wins and 2 losses. This season averaging 12 goals a game and only allowing 3.3 goals per game. There are now preparing for a Baltimore, MD tournament scheduled for mid June.

Clear Lake Tourney (January 13 & 14)

The 8th grade team had a successful outing going 5 wins and 0 loses to be crowned tournament champions. The team scored 61 goals led by tournament MVP Jackson LaPlant, assisted by Chase Rogers, Ian Seale, Ryan Butler, Eric Gorman and Luke Anderson. Defense was also stingy only allowing 13 goals. Goalies Shane Casey, and Chris Howell shut down opponents with the help of veteran defensemen Sam Finney, Kody Soeder, Nick Sivon and Nick Huchins. The entire squad put forth an assume effort.

2006 Houston Area City Champions

4/27/2006: The Woodlands Jr High Lacrosse 8th grade team defeated St. Johns 7-3 to win the Houston area City Championship. The team revenged there only loss of the season earlier in the year to St. Johns in a hard fought battle for the win. Congradulations to all the players and coaches for a successful season.
