Box lacrosse is our primary off-season training program. The box lacrosse training methodology is a very important strategy in the development of a complete lacrosse player. Led by TWHS DI Head Coach Keith Tintle and through a systematic approach our players further develop their stick skills, enhance their fundamentals, and increase their lacrosse IQ.
Box lacrosse is played in a small space with only 6 players a side (including goalie) and no defensive sticks. This setting is critical for creativity in tight spaces, unsettled situations, and lends well to learning off-ball movement and basic offensive and defensive strategies.
Rising 2nd - 5th graders
Using unique teaching system and carefully planned sessions, Coach Keith Tintle provides an age & skill appropriate training environment. He is assisted by the WJHLC coaching staff and varsity players.
Rising 6th - 8th graders
Coach Keith Tintle is instrumental in guiding the junior high boys through the next progressions to better prepare them for High School lacrosse. Through informal scrimmaging, players are encouraged to be creative, and grow their understanding of the game, which fosters their love of the game.
