Offered to boys from 1st - 3rd grade, the NorthStar Lacrosse Skills Development Program is a feeder program for the Woodlands Junior High Lacrosse Club. The
program guides players through the fundamentals of lacrosse, helping them discover the skills necessary to begin enjoying the sport. It is an excellent, no pressure way for first timers and novice athletes to learn lacrosse.
Over the course of twelve weeks players will learn thefundementals of lacrosse through a series of two hour skills and drills sessions once a week. During the 12th and final session program participants will be broken up into equal teams to compete against one aonther in a program ending Chumash event.
Through group instruction and drill participation players will learn the proper fundamentals of lacrosse including but not limited to; catching, passing, throwing, cradling and fielding ground balls.

Players will be broken up into equal size teams and compete against one another in a Chumash event putting into practice what they’ve learned in the skills sessions.
Chumash is a lacrosse game played by two teams of three players each and no goalies. There is one goal in the center of the field. The purpose of each team is to score on its respective side of the goal.
In addition to the events, participants will also receive a NorthStar Lacrosse reversible “pinnie.”
